Introduction

From January 04 – 13, 2007 I spent again 10 days in  Andalucía  in Southern Spain. I visited several well known places in the provinces Málaga, Huelva, Sevilla, and Cádiz for birdwatching.

Itinerary

Drive to the Nature Reserve Desembocadura del Guadalhorce at the Atlantic coast west of Málaga. Birdwatching in this area untill 17.10. Then I drove on the highways N-340, N-331, A-92 and the road A-382 via Málaga and Antequera to Campillos. There I stayed for two nights in the Hotel Los Chopos.

January 07, 2007: Drive from El Rocío to the Centro de Visitantes in Acebuche in order to organize a guided tour at January 09, 2007 into the Doñana National Park. Then I drove on the road A-483 back to El Rocío and from there on the by-road to Villamanrique de la Condesa to the Arroyo del Partido. After birdwatching in the valley of this small river I continued to the Dehesa de Abajo and Lucio de La Rianzuela.

At 18.15 I had my direct-flight with EasyJet back to Berlin-Schönefeld, where I arrived before 22.00.

Registration of the observations
All ornithological observations were registered in the databank OrniDB97–2.20, developed by Ralf Schirmeister (www.ralf-schirmeister.de for download) and were edited in two different ways. Under the heading "Excursions" one finds the complete records to the different observation places in chronological order. Under the heading "Species List" one finds the date, the place, and the number of observed individuals in systematic order. In the section Excursions some photos give an impression of the visited areas, in the Species List one finds some photos of birds taken by a Canon EOS 20D in combination with a telephoto lens Canon EF 600 mm, f/4L IS USM and the Extender EF 2x II.
